Broccoli & Stilton Soup

As I’m not doing my illustrated journal this year, I’ve decided instead to illustrate some seasonal recipes and share them with you. I’m hoping to do at least 6 over the course of the year, but it might be more or less depending on how much time I have. You know what it’s like once the gardening year kicks off!

I’m happy for you to print this out in order to use the recipe, but if you’d like a print for framing and hanging in your kitchen (or elsewhere, I won’t come and check) it is now available in my Etsy shop. My prints use long-life inks and are printed onto archive quality paper, both of which mean the prints won’t fade or degrade over time, and the colours will be far more vibrant and accurate, for years to come. So they are worth the investment if you want to hang them.

This is a delicious, comforting soup, and made good use of the last of our Christmas stilton. I used Romanesque broccoli (or otherwise called Romanesque cauliflower) but it would work equally well with purple sprouting or calabrese. Or failing that, try it with Brussel Sprouts.

By the way, for those of you who enjoyed seeing my journal pages over the past year, you can now interactively flick through the pages one by one and read the whole thing in more detail (mistakes and all) if you so wish. Just click here.

    • Yes, I’m aware of that. I have a lot on my plate ok? 🙂 I’d like to do one every month if I can, but my journal was a commitment each month, and these are more time consuming to produce.
